BOOKING CONDITIONS FOR YOUR VIETNAM MOTORBIKE TOURS

This business is part of Offroad Vietnam Adventure Travel, and the booking conditions are set by the parent company, Offroad Vietnam.

Reservation

To reserve our fully guided or semi-guided Vietnam motorbike tours, please send the first deposit at least one month before your departure date.
To reserve a self-guided tour or motorbike rental, please send the first deposit as soon as you decide to hire the bike(s), as availability is limited and motorcycles may be booked by other customers.
The client is responsible for all bank charges, including sending fees, currency-conversion differences, and any fees charged by intermediary or correspondent banks.
The remaining balance must be paid before or on the day of departure. If you prefer not to carry a large amount of cash, you can pay the balance by bank transfer, Western Union cash transfer, or credit card online. Alternatively, you can pay by credit card at our shop, with a 3% bank service charge for Visa and MasterCard and 4% for American Express.
Unfortunately, we do not accept traveler’s cheques or PayPal because of their fees and unfavorable conditions.

Cancellation Or Delay Of A Booking

Self-guided tours or motorbike rentals

There is a US$ 50 fee per booking for changing or delaying the rental dates. However, there is no change fee in the event of unexpected circumstances such as illness, war, or a travel ban.
The deposit is non-refundable.
There is no refund for unused rental days.
If you have paid the rental in full, there is no refund for cancellation within 7 days before you collect the rental bike(s).

Fully guided or semi-guided tours Booking Conditions

There is a US$ 100 fee per booking for changing or delaying the tour dates. However, there is no change fee in the event of unexpected circumstances such as illness, war, or a travel ban.
The deposit is non-refundable.
If you have paid the tour in full, there is no refund for cancellation within 14 days before the tour departure date and/or during or after the tour.
In all cases, there is a US$100 preparation fee.
The local exchange rate is based on the Vietcombank exchange rate.
If one or several people cancel from a group, we can offer a refund according to the applicable booking conditions. The new tour price will depend on the number of remaining riders and will usually be higher per person. On the other hand, if additional participants join a group, the total price will be recalculated and will usually become cheaper per person.

Insurance

Our Vietnam motorbike tours do not include personal medical insurance or motorbike tour accident insurance.
Each participant must have individual travel insurance with medical and repatriation coverage. In addition, you need to provide information about your insurer’s nearest representative office or contact point in Vietnam so that we can contact them in case of an emergency.
You must have appropriate personal medical and travel insurance, even if you are traveling as a pillion passenger. For passengers, insurance companies normally provide coverage for accidents, subject to the individual policy’s terms and conditions.

Some Australian riders have recommended CHI Insurance and/or Allianz, saying that these companies did not require a local driving licence in their particular circumstances and provided coverage for larger-displacement motorcycles. Alternatively, Lonely Planet has also offered travel insurance policies costing less than US$100 per person.

On our tours, you normally ride for approximately five hours per day on average. This means you are generally not riding for around 19 hours of each day, although the exact coverage depends entirely on the terms and exclusions of your insurance policy.

Before joining the tour, each participant must sign a disclaimer confirming that they have arranged appropriate personal insurance. In other words, Offroad Vietnam will not, under any circumstances, be responsible for expenses resulting from an accident, illness, or other personal medical situation. Any expenses incurred by Offroad Vietnam in such circumstances must be reimbursed by the participant.

Note About Booking Conditions

As a way of saying “thank you” to our returning customers, we normally do not require a deposit from customers who have traveled with us before. Returning customers will also receive a discount on their next tour(s).
We cannot guarantee specific weather conditions during your tour. You may request to delay your tour, subject to availability, but there is no refund if you decide to cancel because of the weather.
